That's what brought us to Four Winds Victorian Venue & Suites in Bonham, Texas, for our next Ghost Texas paranormal investigation.
And this location offered something different from many of the historic buildings we've explored before.
People don't simply visit Four Winds to admire its history. Some actually spend the night there.
A Victorian Home With More Than a Century of History
Built in 1883, Four Winds Victorian has been part of Bonham's landscape for generations.
Located near the historic downtown area, the home reflects the architectural character of a very different era in Texas history.
Today, Four Winds remains a privately owned residence with guest accommodations, giving visitors an opportunity to experience a piece of the past.
We love investigating places like this because the building's history is interesting even before paranormal stories enter the picture.
Imagine the number of conversations that have taken place inside these rooms, the generations of people who have passed through, and the memories associated with a home that's survived so many changes.
Of course, an old house isn't necessarily a haunted house.
But Four Winds has developed an intriguing reputation of its own.

Over the years, guests and visitors have described experiences they couldn't easily explain.

As always, our goal wasn't to walk in assuming the place was haunted. We wanted to use our equipment, observe the environment, and consider reasonable explanations for anything unusual.
But we were certainly curious.
Would the home's atmosphere feel different once we began investigating?
Could the experiences reported by visitors offer clues worth exploring?
And what might a night inside this historic Victorian residence reveal?
We were ready to find out.
