The Haunted Jefferson Hotel

Jefferson Hotel is located in arguably one of the most haunted towns in Texas. This small town of Jefferson, Texas houses one of the oldest hotels in the state and with all this history, it has to have some haunts.

Built in the early 1850s as a cotton warehouse it soon thereafter opened as a Hotel. In the late 1800s, a woman named Mrs. Schluter ran the hotel for over thirty years. And as claimed by guests and staff, she is one of the spirits that haunt the hotel.

Some of the claims in this hotel range from children running and laughing, whispers, knocks on walls and furniture, doors opening and closing, and cigar smells. If you dare to stay at the Jefferson Hotel, be sure to ask for the rooms that have the most reported activity: rooms 19 - 25. Claims range from bathroom water faucets turning on in the middle of the night to being touched and seeing apparitions in the halls.

Book your stay, if you dare!
